Quantum employs a hybrid custodial approach to ensure maximum security and operational efficiency for its reserves. The system utilizes both Multi-Party Computation (MPC) wallets and regulated, licensed custodial providers. The MPC solution distributes key shares across core ecosystem teams, enhancing security through decentralization.

For additional institutional-grade protection, Quantum partners with Copper, using their segregated MPC vaults. These vaults are secured by three separate key shards held by Astro, Copper, and a trusted third party, with any transaction requiring two out of three signers. This multi-layered custody strategy allows Quantum to maintain high security standards while ensuring sufficient liquidity to support all qAR minting and redemption requests on demand.

The combination of decentralized MPC wallets and regulated custodial services provides a robust foundation for Quantum's bridge between Arweave and AO ecosystems.
