MPC

Quantum employs a robust Multi-Party Computation (MPC) solution to secure its assets:

  1. Operational Wallet: Funds are held in an MPC wallet with key shares distributed across core ecosystem teams. This decentralized approach enhances security and reduces single points of failure. More detailed information on this setup will be shared soon.

  2. Custodial Solution: Quantum uses Copper's segregated MPC vaults. These vaults are secured by three separate key shards held by Astro, Copper, and a trusted third party (for asset recovery and disaster preparedness). Two out of three signers are required to execute any transaction, ensuring both security and operational continuity.

All Quantum backing is held either in these MPC wallets or with regulated and licensed custodial providers. These solutions offer institutional-grade security, matching the standards used by major players in the space. This setup ensures that Quantum can support all minting and redemption requests for qAR on demand, maintaining the bridge's liquidity and reliability.
